Peritubular Capillary
_In the renal system (kidney system), peritubular capillaries are tiny blood vessels that travel right alongside nephrons allowing reabsorption and secretion between the blood and the inner part of the nephron. When ions and minerals that need to be saved in the body they are reabsorbed into the peritubular capillaries. The ions that need to be excreted as waste are secreted from the capillaries into the nephron to be sent towards the kidney then finally to the bladder and out of the body. The majority of the exchange through the peritubular capillaries occurs because of osmosis and Na+ pumps.
